Rural America - and rural voters - play a critical role in the future of the progressive movement. A solid, informed and participatory base of rural citizens paired with urban progressives would make for a powerful partnership. But how do we do it? What are the issues that unite metro riders and tractor drivers? There are more than you think, and they matter to all Americans, regardless of your zipcode.
The youth are voting! But, what happens after the polls close? Young adults are underrepresented in the halls of power and they know it. When asked how well leaders in Washington represented them, 68 percent responded not very well. In contrast, 79 percent believe that corporations have it good. Qvisory's knows the woes of those aged 18-35. Our mission help advocate for money, health, and work policies that address the unique challenges they face. Join us for a discussion of how to best shape our advocacy agenda and engage our community on the issues that matter the most to them.
Have you thought about taking the leap and running for office? This informative discussion will walk you through what you need to think about before you launch your campaign and give proactive steps that you can take now to run in the next one to five years.
Getting your blog in front of new visitors can be a challenge. Using new online social techniques as well as old-fashioned outreach can help! Discover hands-on techniques that allow you to join the blogosphere conversation, leverage traffic from social news sites like Digg and Reddit and put your blog in front of thousands of potential visitors. Learn how to build your own online community from a panel of bloggers who have worked on their own blogs; for non-profits; and for state, congressional and presidential campaigns.

This is an exciting moment for progressive politics. Yet there is no clear road-map for connecting progressive cause organizations and Netizens through a coordinated plan that could provide real support for major political changes. In this workshop, we'll brainstorm with partners from the blogosphere about strategies for non-profits and for bloggers to better connect around shared policy goals.
